Life sure is sweet

Ahhh the smell of boiling sap, the crunching of boots on snow, a thin layer of ice in the tanks - there’s something special about sugar season that reminds us why we do it year after year!

Welcome to NorthLoop Maple Farm. We’re a family that built this small operation literally from the ground up (when we cleared our land for our sugarhouse.) We are excited to show you our craft.

to your table

Even though the VT sugar season is only a few months, we work year-round to make sure you have the best syrup for your table.

Our Sugarbush

Our pipeline runs across 55 acres of sugar maples, using gravity to flow into our collection tanks which we pump out daily through the season. Each February we walk the sugarbush and tap each of the 850 trees and in May we remove the taps. On a perfect day we could collect 1000 gallons of sap to boil down to 20 gallons of syrup!

The Sugarhouse

What started with a 2x3 Leader Half Pint in a storage garage has turned into a full-blown sugarhouse operation. We are currently running with a 3x10 H2O Innovations evaporator and a Leader Eco 550 Reverse Osmosis to help with our sugaring/family balance. We’d love to show it to you!

Maple Products

Syrup isn’t the only way to enjoy maple! We also make maple sugar, maple cream, even maple cotton candy. Looking for something specific? Head over to our store (coming soon!) or drop us a note if you don’t find what you need.
